ceiling fan and light control?

I've been planning to get a second wireless remote for my Menard's ceiling
fan (which isn't obviously offered but I'll call.).

I'd open it up and solder wires to the button pads and connect those to a
low voltage controller like my Barix.

I have a non-dimming GE/Jasco Zwave wall switch on the fan and set up a fan
sleep script to shut it off in a few hours as the bedroom gets cold. I can
add some logic to look at the temperature in the room.
