I'm not getting Xtension Discussion since Aug

Hi Brian, and thank you for the wise words. Upon re-reading what I said that offended you, I agree I misspoke. What I should have made clear is that after sending a dozen or so serious emails regarding a slew of problems I’ve experienced this year, I haven’t heard boo from James, and that isn’t like the James I’ve known and worked with for the last 12 years.

You’ll also have to agree there are several other List members who are concerned about James as well.

I took your advice and the last Digest I received was XTensionList Digest, Vol 11, Issue 140 on 7/22/22. It does seem that some are receiving regular Digests, but not me, nor have I recently regularly received any answers to my questions from James or anyone else, thus my bringing up the subject in the first place.

Currently, I am trying to get Weeder’s Digital Input board working which shouldn’t be any big deal, but it is. As I tried to explain the Weeder Digital Output board is wired differently than most other Weeder boards. After two weeks of trying many conventional approaches I’ve had several discussions about it with Terry Weeder who is a PC person. At the end of the day, he feels James forgot to use a completely different set of commands made just for the WTDIN. He feels sure this must be the case based on my log errors. I wrote James immediately to inquire if Terry’s hypothesis was correct, but still haven’t heard back from James which is. very odd and unlike him.

I just checked, and the last time I received an email from James was April 29th, Oh I’ve copied and sent my email directly to him, but nothing from James. The questions I asked James have to do Weeder conversion code that he wrote. There is no other person to ask but James.

It used to be that we would always receive a daily Digest whether I had posed a question or not. That’s when I started to think he was mad at me and just ignore me which finally prompted me to say what I said to you today. Again, I should have worded my statement better so you would understand I was talking about his interaction with me, not everyone.

Hope that clears that particular subject up as I wasn’t trying to be derogatory, but just sincerely concerned as he is now the only person we can rely on for XTension’s help. I sure hope there is nothing else going on. Perhaps he just has a new big project that is taking all his time. I also have offered to pay him on several occasions to get timely answers and solutions, but he no longer take my $$$. I've even sent him new equipment I’ve found, at his request and blessing, like a device (An ITach IP 21R) that can convert IR signals into XTension commands in exchange for some code examples that I can learn by as well as loaning him an expensive Universal remote MX-980 that already had the specific signals in it I wanted to control by XTension. That remains an open issue to this day that I’ve assumed he just hasn’t had time to perform.

So I hope you understand my earlier words were heart felt, and not intended to include anyone else’s feelings.

I have been a large proponent of XTension, Michael and James for long time and wouldn’t do anything to hurt that relationship.

For some reason, my messages to my wife do not appear unless she clicks, Get Mail, even though mail from others flies through automatically.
