I'm not getting Xtension Discussion since Aug

I just can’t imagine that a select few folks on this list are either not getting messages or the digest because of a bug in the list serve. Of course, it is possible, but I would suggest that you log on to the list serve and make sure that you don’t have options set incorrectly that is the root cause of these omissions.

If you go to http://mail.machomeautomation.com/mailman/listinfo/xtensionlist <http://mail.machomeautomation.com/mailman/listinfo/xtensionlist>
You will be able to log in and change options that are selected for your email address.
On that page, near the bottom, you can enter your email address and click on the “unsubscribe or edit options” button

When you do that, it will request a password. If you do not know your password, simply scroll down and click on the Remind button under the Password reminder section:

You will get an email with th proper password. Once you have the password, enter it to login.

Once you log in, you will be presented with a lot of options. 
The first option is to enable or disable receiving emails. That one should be set to Enable.

The second is whether to receive digest mode. If you want to receive the digest and not individual emails, set that option to On.

The fourth option is whether you should receive emails that you send to the list. To be honest, I am not sure if this applies when you have digest mode set to On or not. There is. Possibility that it does apply even to digest mode, which could explain why someone may not see their own messages sent to the list.

The fifth option will provide for an acknowledgment email to be sent to you when you do send an email to the list. This would provide some immediate feedback for you indicating the list is actually getting your email.

The sixth option provides a monthly reminder on the 1st of every month of your password to the list. It is also a nice reminder that the list is alive and well.

The last option reduces duplicate emails by not sending a list message when you are on the To or CC list. This may also impact what some folks have been seeingvis-a-vis not seeing messages they have sent to the list. 

So, if you are not seeing list messages or the digest or feel your messages are not getting to the list, you might want to change some of these settings and then send some test messages to the list and see what happens. 

There was a time when there was a lot more email traffic on this list. But I have not seen any significant amount of traffic on this list in quite a while. Sending some test message should not be a problem and will very likely eliminate some of the difficulties we are seeing here with respect to the list and getting messages or not.
