OT: whole home wifi mesh recommendations

I agree that Ethernet is the way to go. But wireless can be nice when using phone, tablet, or laptop. My whole house is Cat 6 with gigabit speeds to the house.

As for wireless I use Apple Time Capsules which will work at speeds of 0.3/0.4 GB speeds. I have one in the basement in the center of the house and one in the attic in the center of the house. I also have one in the guest treehouse and those 3 units cover my hole house. They can be had for really cheap on Craigslist (30-40 dollar) and the bonus is that they can be used as backup for all my devices. We just select the network we are closest to.

My grandson has a TP-Link mesh system and seems to like it. It covers a 3000 sq ft house pretty well and is reasonably priced.
