Barionet 50 not seeing 1-wire devices - FIXED

I picked up an eBay Barionet 50 for a bargain last winter - but it didn’t recognize or respond to 1-wire devices, which is 95% of the reason I wanted another one….
Barix forum led me to Barix support which helped me troubleshoot a blown transistor, and I found some on eBay.
I’d never done any surface mount electronics repairs before - and just yesterday finally pulled together an appropriate soldering iron, time and the gumption to give it a shot.
It works! And I’ve got 98* more Slkor BC817-40 45V0.5A SMD Transistor Power Transistor NPN, because the best source I found offered a 100 pieces for a whopping $2 with free shipping…..which took 2 months to arrive. [not complaining!]
So if anyone wants a couple-three or more, let me know and I’ll mail you some….
*yup, I messed up the first one I almost got soldered in place. Jumpy little buggers, they are.
Share and enjoy!
