Since it is slow on here... Newsticker?

I had this idea and I’m not sure if it’s a feature that others might be interested in…

I’m wondering if there would be any interest in an XTension feature where certain units or, certain things in the log might appear in a scrolling text window.   When certain doors open, when a phone is detected and you know that your loved one is home… Alarms… Batteries that are low?  Just things of interest that you might be alerted to.

There used to be better app options than there are now for RSS feeds.   But I used to get news, scrolling across the bottom of my screen at work that alerted me to what was going on in the world.  I work from home now and have access to a TV thus, I haven’t used the “ticker” in a long time.  

So I pondered whether we might create an RSS feed through AppleScript that one of these news tickers might tap into?  ...Just a webpage that is shared so that any machine that we are using can access.

Am I the only one or does this concept intrigue anyone else?
