This is a copy of two emails I sent to michael.

//I was an active XTension user years ago but life got in the way. I'm
now semi-retired and have the time to "Fire It Up" again. I ordered a
XTB-232 interface yesterday, The CM11 I previously used had failed way
back when I shut the system down, it was the second interface that died
and part of the reason I "moved on". //
/ /
//I downloaded the latest version of your software (9.4.27, build 1015)
and went through my "stuff" to see what I could get working while
waiting for the new interface. I attached a CM19 and was able to send
and receive as expected. I then tried a MR26A and am unable to receive
anything. XTension tells me that it is ready but I receive nothing. Do I
have to select a port? I see no selection for USB so I selected
Buetooth-Incoming-Port. Is there anything else I have to do? //

//EXtension has really changed over the years. Seems to be much more
powerful/flexible/useful but it is also much more complicated than I
remember. Received the XTB-232 interface today and tried it with no
success. In your email you suggested that I tell Xtension to install usb
drivers. I have no idea how to do that. I did however, install the
drivers on the computer, which was a pain since my IMac has no DVD
drive, I had to load the drivers onto a thumb drive using an older
computer at another location. //

//BTW, I am subscribed to the discussion group and will use it a source
of info once I'm up and running. //

He has since advised me of his health issues and referred me to the
discussion list - here goes.
I received the interface today, installed the USB to Serial driver and
no response from it. I receive (2) errors: "Power Failure at controller"
and "ERROR 35 - No response from the CM11."
How do I inform XTension that I am using a USB to Serial adaptor? What
Port? Michael suggested I may have to tell XTension to install the
driver(s) - How is that done?
Guess I need to be re-trained.
Thanks in advance,
Jim
