Brian,
I have the same issues and Vera is the one that is confused. It creates units that are not there and I have no idea what they are for. I have a bunch of _Genaric IO units that go from _Genaric IO 1 to 14 I can’t get rid of. I deleted them in Vera and Xtension and they all come back. They don’t do anything that I can figure out and they just take up space in the GUI. I have contacted Vera and they have logged into my unit and they can’t figure it out. They are associated with the Jasco wall dimmer with sensor.
The same issue happens with all the Aeotec units I have. Again they don’t appear to do anything and I can’t delete them.
I tried to move them to a “room” in Vera called "spurious units" and the lights and sensors moved with them so they are connected at the hip forever it would seem.
If you get it figured out let us know. I would love to know what is happening.
