I have to have the electrical above any water lines and separated by at least 1 foot according to the county code, not that I am going to pull a permit for this. But at least I am going to do it according to code. The backhoe will dig the ditch 18 inches wide and plans will change once the ditch is dug. We have a lot of caliche in the area which can be very difficult to dig through and even my friends heavy duty trackhoe has problems with getting through. The only way he can get through it is with his 8 inch bucket which is still difficult. I may end up with an 8 inch ditch.
