What is the combined consumption of your perimeter lights, the cable/sat receiver and the TV?
Maybe that’s the cause; otherwise it may be a good place to start saving the planet and keep the water low.

Apart from that, on the old continent contractors use condensing concrete driers. Sucking in cold air on one end they cool down close to freezing, the water condenses and drains. The heat extracted then is used to warm the air that is blown back into circulation.
This process looks innocent but uses a whopping amount of energy and 24/7. Though less than just electrically heating up to steam out the water. Which brings up temporal electric heating as a possible cause.
The first priority of contractors usually isn’t the dweller’s electricity bill.

Just my experiences with the matter.
