It’s relatively simple. Just get a valve, hook it up to a controller switch (X 10/Z wave/whatever else) and you can control it with XTension. Mine is set up so that when we leave longer than 12 hours it turns off the valve which closes it (NC). When we come back it will automatically turn on again.</div><div><br></div><div>The valve that I use is rather expensive, but it’s very robust and has been in my system for 35+ years. It is NC with manual override. This valve will automatically close in case power goes out, and if you want water, you can manually open the valve.</div><div><br></div><div>Never had one minute of problem with it and when it’s closed, it’s closed.</div><div><br></div><div>I am not sure that this screen shot that I added is the valve you want but this is a good start. It is an ASCO Red Hat Valve. You want at least 3/4 in to make sure that you don’t reduce water flow.</div><div><br></div><div>I got mine in the 80’s and it was only $125. Then 10 years later I got the same model for my vacation home and it was about $160. That one survived 10ºF and works fine. I was concerned about it freezing but it survived just fine.</div><div><br></div><div>Chuck</div><div><br></div><div><img width="840" alt="Screenshot 2023-04-24 at 11.00.50 AM.png" src="cid:86D56257-D6B1-4B45-AF66-2425A3ED62F3"></div><div><br><br><div dir="ltr"><!-- signature open -->Sent from my iPhone and butchered by Siri<!-- signature close --></div><div dir="ltr"><br><blockquote type="cite">On Apr 24, 2023, at 9:44 AM, Andy Poggio <apoggio@pacbell.net> wrote:<br><br></blockquote></div><blockquote type="cite"><div dir="ltr"><span>Hi Everyone,</span><br><span></span><br><span>I’m looking for an electrically controlled water valve that can be turned on or off by XTension.
