It works great 90% of the time but sometimes it’s got a lot of stuff queued up or something and does not send my commands quickly. I reduced the frequency of the problem by reducing the amount of time I have been sending queries as well. This has also reduced the memory usage for the few devices I had to poll regularly, I kept setting the size of the data cache for them to smaller and smaller values, but I’m not sure it really stuck or something was still going on.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">I’m seriously considering pulling the trigger for the new C8 version of the hub to also try to speed things up a bit.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">As far as I recall the polling plugin would only poll non-ZWave plus devices or devices that it knew were not going to send local changes. It will not poll any zwave2 device at all and I couldn’t find a way to force it to. I do not run this plugin.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Any device that reports local changes you don’t have to poll regularly. At least none that I’ve noticed here so far. I schedule a query for the problem devices that runs 5 minutes or so after it knows they were controlled either locally or by XTension. Most of the devices having issues are older modules or switches, but a couple of W100 version switches and dimmers from the HomeSeer folks also do it, I have no idea whats different about them.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">I have one plugin module that claims to be ZWave2 but does not ever send a power usage update. This module I had on the fridge in the garage to monitor duty cycle so I needed to get updates from it fairly often. This was the only device I was polling regularly and the one I mentioned above that was causing the hub to hang up sometimes, I think. I reduced my polling of it to every 10 minutes I think and the problem is much less frequent. We'll see how that works out. I had found that various lamps have remained ON overnight, despite my XT scripts commanding them off.
