[XTension] Problems with SDR

Michael and I went back and forth about such things over the years. My normal use case now days is to send every update, but with the “update only if something changes” flag set. This way the last message received can be updated but the last activity wont update if the value hasn’t changed. In the distant past we used to filter those because the machines would get bogged down by all the extra messages.
I have looked at it in general and what I see from mine and I don’t see any problem with my rain gauge or other receivers. They don’t register things if they haven’t changed but do register if they have.
As far as the difference between the SDR and the RFX, I would love for it to be the same, and I THOUGHT that it was… but it obviously isn’t quite in every circumstance. I have special code in the plugin to handle the addresses of devices that the RFX can receive so that it translates them into an X10 style address as XTension wanted in the dark ages ;) It is possible that something isn’t working properly there but it really should be.
I won’t be worth much until the last part of next week due to family schedules but I do plan to run several tests shortly thereafter to figure out why this is happening or at least try to. I’ll be back with either more info or more questions ;)

You can see that in my post when it gets three in a row all the same, and there are three identical log entries. (Indeed, RFX units are happy to log identical values all day long also):
