Keeping Xtension alive

Some thoughts.

James needs to get paid. He works hard on Xtension and it does take him a lot of time to test and update new devices. Michael did it as he was older and had a pretty sedate live. Xtension was his passion/hobby and there were very few distractions for him. James has kids that take up a lot of time. Any parent can verify that.

With that in mind I think that an annual subscription is in order. James can use the money as he sees fit. If he wants to hire other folks to help out that would be his choice.

The business plan of buying an app and providing forever updates for free is over and not sustainable even in the short term. I have bought many licenses even though I just needed 2. This was my way to support the product since there isn’t any way to pay an annual update fee.

I am willing to pay an annual fee to keep Xtension going or the reality is that it will die. The fee should be based on the hours he puts in and adjusted to make sure he gets a fair amount of money for his labors.

Surely there will be folks that might object to this option but without it Xtension will not survive. It is that simple.

Chuck
