I started getting log entries that stated the UV sensor was faulty. Then I got a lot of errors being reported and no updates of the XTension units were recorded.

The Tempest iPhone app was still reporting data, although limited by the Power Save Mode.

I followed Dave Fleck’s March 6th link to the Power Booster Accessory and purchased one.

After I installed it, it took 3 hours to raise the voltage reported from 2.3 volts to 2.6 volts. All errors have now disappeared and XTension units are being updated as expected.

The kicker is I live in Phoenix, but the only place to put the unit was in the center of the side yard where in summer there is more shade than in winter … HOA rules, tree locations and lot shape.
