Sonos Sound Systems

Rich,

I use Airfoil also. I have cheap Airport Extreme Base Stations with USB powered speakers attached, throughout the house. And that is why I’d like to modify the volume. So when it is quiet in the house, there’s no reason to blare the “time and temperature” or alerts. I was using Airfoil to speak through my daughter’s Sonos one speaker. So now, we have our Great Room Playbar <https://www.sonos.com/en-us/shop/playbar-b-stock> and Amp <https://www.sonos.com/en-us/shop/amp> in addition to another Amp in our kitchen area that are all Sonos.

When you play XTension sounds through the Sonos system, they’re very loud and interrupt the TV sound when it happens. So I chose separate speakers for XTension announcements and would like to change the sound level in Airfoil according to the level in the Sonos equipment.
