Best Practices for spreading temps around the house

Happy festive season to all.

I past homes, before HRVs and the like, I solved the negative indoor pressure and incoming leaks by adding a duct (4 or 5 inch) from outdoors, directly to the return air plenum of the furnace ahead of the filter. This would create a minor positive pressure. The objective was comfort and the elimination of chilling drafts. In the winter, this also helped keep the interior humidity down to prevent behind-the-walls condensation (mold) and frozen bedroom windows (emergency egress). As has been suggested, the furnace fan is set to run continuously.

In my current home, my 'hrv' is an EdenAir 8000, which is a heat pump in a box, details here (in French).
