For once I saw the writing on the wall and ditched Insteon when my first controller failed. The only reason I was using it was because it included X-10 control. Their later controllers did not. (Anyone want a pile of Insteon wall switches?) Sort of sad to see Vera support go away; my experience with them was good.

Should I be migrating to the Hubitat?

I had a bad experience cloning an entire hard drive to the backup Mac Mini. I should have kept track of the details, but I was rather busy trying to get things working again. The target machine was having weird issues: spontaneous reboots and disappearing directories being the most frequent. This was some time ago, before the latest OS releases with the new HDD structure. As I said, I don’t recall the details. Installing a fresh OS on the backup Mini and then copying just the Xtension stuff resolved the issue. It may very well have been something I did wrong, but I will be installing the OS on both machines and then adding Xtension and other HA stuff on a clean install.
