You might check out the Wyze Cam 3. It has 1080p color night viewing, outdoor rated and has unbelievable (no IR) color video capabilities. Wifi based with free app. $30 or so. I’m not sure of integration with XTension. I have some and think they’re incredible for the cost.

A bit afield, but I have seen similar discussion in the past in the list!
We've a home on a 1/4 acre in the city, but - have seen fox, deer, racoons and other critters here. A small yard with a small pond out back. Only water in maybe a mile or so. Goldfish in the pond, sometimes frogs - too shallow for Koi, but periodically we do hear small critters out back and would like to know more. I've been looking at the wild trail cameras with motion detetctors - look to be in the $75-100 range (?) - and wondered who had any kind of first hand experience with such gear - or - maybe there is a different/better approach?
Current system is a late 2009 hexcore macPro running Mojave, on my upstairs desk, overlooking the back yard (good wifi point).
