I agree that even slow periods on Starlink is way better than what I had. The one thing that is very different is that my wife and I love to lay out in the hammock and watch the stars. But now we are constantly seeing satellites going by. A minor thing for the convenience of having fast internet in the rural areas.
This week I will try to hook up the unit to my Time Capsule and see how that works.
I don’t have a problem with obstacles. It’s high desert with sage brush. My wife has tried to get obstacles to grow here but there is no nitrogen in the sand and all of the pines we planted have died except for one which is why we call this place “Lone Pine”.

It also lists "other outages” Usually mine is under minute , but when he sends up another batch of satellites it may go up to 20-30 min. for a few days. I assume their moving satellites around.

I can access my 4k security cameras remotely and they load very fast and keep up close to real time. There is about 1-2 seconds delay but action is smooth and doesn’t stutter. I have 940 up/down at home so that is not an issue.

One of the problems I have is my Mac Mini dropping the wifi connection which is the weak link. If I can get the Ethernet working I am guessing I will get better and more consistent throughput.
