Strange Weeder Board Log Entry

Good morning George,

It appears that there is a weeder on the chain with it’s address set to D. It’s not a unit in XTension but rather a weeder physically set to D via the dip switches on the board that set it’s address.

Do you have a weeder on that chain that is not in use or that you haven’t setup in XTension yet? It might be that simple. I’m a little concerned that it’s transmitting when XTension won’t be talking to is because it doesn’t know it’s there. But it may be sending input changes or some such. I shouldn’t be polling it if it doesn’t exist in XTension yet. It might also be that a specific board type is sending a message in a different format or one that I don’t understand or something else interesting is happening.

Look for a weeder on that physical connection string with the dip switches set to an address of capital D so something like: 00011

and let me know if such a thing is there. It might also be a fluke of a wiring issue if the serial ports are coming loose or something like that it could be dropping bits and causing corruption of some of the messages.
