OK, confused with scenes and Hubitat

Tom,
Found the problem. When I created the virtual switch, I was using “Generic-xxx”. I didn’t realize that further down in the list were “Virtual-xxx” devices and this now works.
I can setup button devices in Hubitat as I initially intended to turn these virtual devices on and off (color as an example), and script them in Xtension to control James’ PWM controller.
However, Do I need the extra virtual devices? What I am hoping to do is all of this from within the actual switch (in Xtension), setup as a scene controller. This is where I am fuzzy. Thoughts?
Best,
Charlie-
