strange logoffs

I recently moved my Xtension system from an older Mac mini (Early 2009) Core 2 Duo to a newer Mac mini (Late 2014) Dual-Core Intel Core i5, to accommodate future upgrades.

I copied the old HDD to the new machine and then upgraded the OS, now at 11.5.1. Xtension is v 1045.0.0.

Since the upgrade I have been finding myself logged off when I try to access the machine, which stops extension of course. Checking back in the log this has always happened immediately after an automatic database backup. Manual backup doesn’t cause a problem.

I ran Disk Utility on the HDD and both of the sub-drives; it ran clean. I’ve reset the PRAM. Still happening.

Another odd thing: Xtension always reports that it was shut down improperly, whether it was or not.

I have the Xtension app in the Xtension folder in the Applications folder. Could that be a problem? (If I move it to the Application folder it thinks it’s not registered and shown no units, scripts, etc.)
