Checking for Excessive Well Pump Activity

I have an Aeotech Z wave relay on my well pump. It will record energy, on off cycles, and can be observed in XTDB. You can even create a pseudo and calculate your electricity costs.

If I remember correctly this unit will handle up to 40 A. It also needs a housing to keep it out of the weather.

GE also makes one that is much more robust and I believe it’s in a weatherproof housing. I don’t know if it tracks energy usage but you can see on off cycles. 

Both are Z wave plus and have pretty good range.
