How I control “uncontrollable” HomeKit/Hubitat with XTension

Every now and then we get a new device that can ONLY be controlled by HomeKit or a new device that Hubitat understands but for which James has not yet included direct control.
Here is a simple way you can control these devices from XTension.
HomeKit:
Create a pseudo device in XTension and share it with HomeKit as a switch.
In HomeKit, create an automation that reacts when the “switch” changes state and have it control the “uncontrollable” HomeKit device.
Habitat:
Create a virtual switch device in Hubitat and enable it in MakerAPI so XTension can toggle it. Create a rule in Hubitat to control the new device triggered by the virtual switch when XTension changes its state.
FYI: Latest XTension release (39) breaks the HomeKit case. Stick with 38 until James fixes the problem.
Hope this helps some of you,
Tom
