Rediscovering neighbors

I dont’ think you want to do this! I believe this is for replacing one Vera to another. If you do this then the one you’re walking around with will have become the master controller for the network!

For any ZWave plus device that is within range of either the controller or another ZWave plus device you should NOT have to do this! If you’re adding more non plus zwave devices then one has to ask where you even got them from as there just aren’t any more out there available for anything ;)

I would also not recommend adding a secondary vera controller to extend the network. This is possible but is something that so few people do it definitely has issues not to mention just a huge list of uncertainties as to what it actually means. If you can’t get to another part of the network add a network extender. They are available for around $20 if you need that. If you need a totally separate ZWave network that it out of range of the primary completely like in some external outbuilding or something I would create a completely separate network. I woudl not try to link them together via any of these means. Strange things will likely happen. XTension can connect to any number of completely separate vera networks just by creating another Vera UI7 plugin instance. I do this with my mom’s and my mother in laws houses. Creating an SSH tunnel to them that I can connect over or just sharing database parts from the Mac’s running there.

But don’t copy the network! in ZWave parlance that means exchanging the roll of master controller as far as I can tell!
