A couple XTension Idiosyncracies I've been meaning to tell you...

James,

I have really been remiss in not telling you about a couple of apparent bugs in XTension. We've worked around them, and maybe there is more to it than we understand.

First off, David has discovered why something wouldn't work, and traced it back to our Mini #1 XTension machine.

It has to do with the Startup script, which in the script list will not hold the name Startup Script. After relaunching or rebooting, it's name reverts back to just Startup causing us great frustration.

The second subject I've been fighting for over a year, and in that time frame there have been a few on the List writing in to tell you about it. At first I believed it was me who failed to save a script, or specifically a Scheduled event. Not with any frequency I can discern, they will disappear from the list... not the script it was to run, just the Scheduled event itself from the list.

As you know, I'm perfectly capable of getting in XTension trouble all by myself, but this bug is real and not perfectly repeatable which in itself is a big problem for you I know, but it's happened to me a dozen or more times in just the last 6 months, and is a real time waster to track down.

Thank you for listening.

George
