I’ll try Vera support next. One amazon review mentions the, working with
Vera.
I have had decent luck with Vera zigbee support. Using it for motion
sensors and no problem other then they all quit working one time awhile
back, after year+ of no problems whatsoever.
If i get it working I’ll fill you all in.
I am a renter and have learned over time life is just easier if you don’t
touch the wiring I’m a rental. This is for the light inside a ceiling
exhaust fan. The fan takes a proprietary bulb — I think it’s a standard
GU20 base but the bulb shape is more like a miniaturized downward firing
street lamp “U” shape than a normal bulb. So that leaves this ridiculous
motor to actuate the switch for me once or twice a day. But if I can get it
working it’ll be swell.
I had one switch at my old place that I never ended up automating for
similar reasons.
