Searching the internet for this problem, it seams you worked on this very
issue with the ethernet version last year.  You might have these devices
laying around:

Hello Ger,

As far as I’ve known up until this moment there was no difference in
how the USB or the older ethernet models sent the data. They were
supposed to be identical in the packet format. Internally I don’t
treat them any different in my parsing at all, regardless of the
source they fall through the exact same decoding routines, what worked
for one should work for the other and I thought it always had. That
being said there definitely could be differences.

I did just get a couple of the BTHGN129 to experiment with (at least I
think that is what they are, the label turns the 9 at the end into a …
but hopefully they are the same) so I will do some data capture on
that and compare it to what you’re getting. What I don’t have right
here at the moment is one of the USB receivers. If you could put that
interface into debug mode and collect the output until this message is
received once or twice and then send that to me off the list that will
give me something to compare against to try to find the difference.
