W800 errors

You have an arduino connected to the xBee pretending to be a W800? Tell us more about that ;)

All the errors after the xBee interface shuts down are just about the W800 interface being disconnected because the program that was hosting it’s port went away. Those all recovered just fine. The problem is that the xBee interface seems to be going catatonic for some reason. XTension regularly sends a “ping” (not in the network sense just a command that should get a response if it hasn’t heard from it in a while) to every running interface and if they don’t respond then something has gone horribly wrong and they get restarted.

The question is what is happening to yours that makes it hang up. I don’t believe there is anything likely that can happen on the remote xBee side that could do that, it has to be something on the XTension machine network coordinator side. The most likely culprit would be some USB issue in the connection to that xBee. Is your network coordinator connected via a USB breakout board or some other method? It’s possible that it’s got a loose connection or a bad USB cable or something.

In XTension if you go into the preferences and the logging tab you can turn on Log USB Events which will show if the system thinks it’s losing that USB device before it all stops working or not.
