Many of the original plugins will not run on Catalina yet because of the completely arbitrary decision to end support for 32 bit apps. Beyond this they have also made some significant changes to the AppleScript system making it much more picky about certain syntax that is likely to break many scripts. There is nothing I can do about this but I don’t know enough yet to seriously even tell you what to watch out for or what you can do to fix any errors that happen. I don’t know if I should be happy that they are thinking about AppleScript or upset that they are breaking things that weren’t broken.

The most recent release I wasn’t even able to notarize as the beta version of the tool that does the work had expired without a replacement at that point. I’m sure I”ll be able to find that for the next build. Probably… but that will just allow it to run, it is still never going to run the older plugins and I haven’t been able to complete the process of replacing them yet.

Will XTension run effectively in a virtual machine?
Has anyone tried it?
