More Hue questions (was Costco's deal...)

You need the Hue hub. The other control devices, even the Hue app, connect
through the Hue Hub.
BUT Phillips has some new bulbs that use WiFi and don't require the hub.
Those will work with with Alexa ang google home devices.
I have no interest in those.
The cost of the hub is noise with those bundles anyway.
