Wonky relay on Barix

Hi Folks,

There is a weird thing going on here: an osmosis pump (24V driven by a voltage regulator receiving 24..28V from a battery) keeps running despite the Barix switching off the power to the voltage regulator, the relay LED going dark and a click being heard. Even after several power cycles to the Barix and on/off cycles for the relay, the pump keeps running.
The relay housings in the Barix are of the non-transparant type so I can't check them visually. Wonky behaviour especially as I can hear the relay clicking.

A few firm and desperate taps on the housing do switch off the pump, after which the Barix behaves as expected and interrupts or supplies the energy to the voltage regulator as demanded for a few weeks. As the pump runs hot when pressure over 4 bar (iso. the operating pressure of 2.4 bar), this is a situation I want to prevent.

Any hints, tips or conclusions?

Cheers,
Ard
