What is this? USB items removed and added

Because you have “log USB Events” turned on in the Logging tab of the preferences :) It’s a good debugging tool. It’s VERY difficult for the system to cope with a USB/Serial adaptor going bad or a bad cable or a bad hub and by logging these you can see if the crashes or even kernel panics you’re having are caused by the system thinking you’ve plugged and unplugged the device a thousand times in the last second. Thats actually common for a bad cable or a bad hub or a bad hub power supply or something like that and can cause no end of havoc with XTension and anything else.

So if you’re seeing these messages repeatedly even though you’re not actually removing the devices mentioned then there is something bad in the connection to those devices or the hub they are connected to!

You’ll see connected messages at startup and that is normal, but if they are popping in and out at other times then thats a hardware problem and it will ultimately cause you grief.
