Possible Bug - Find

I can’t duplicate this on any of the 4 different testing machines and live servers I’ve got here right now. It’s when opening up a global script? If you just find a unit and open up the edit unit window does that crash? Or is it only an edit script window of some kind?
The edit field that is displayed on an edit script window is part of the system and I don’t control it, but I could be sending it some goofy data that caused it to crash even though I can’t duplicate that.
The other thing is that the search is a thread that updates the user interface in the background and that can be the source of problems too. Can you, and anyone else that is having this problem give this alpha build a try?

In that version I’ve revamped all the thread handling and because of the reworking of the talking between the search thread and the main thread user interface it’s ludicrously faster at searching. like blink of an eye where it took 10 seconds before. I”ll have to look into understanding that, but I’ll take it for now. If you’re still crashing on that version then please let me know a couple of things:
is it only when you’re double clicking on a script? Or does it also happen if the second item in the list happens to be opening an edit unit or an edit interface dialog? There is a lot of code in there to open the correct window when you double click depending on what you’re clicking on. It might be a unit script, a global script, an interface script or it might be a unit or an interface or a unit property or something. Each one is handled differently so to know if it’s limited to one or the other display type that would help a lot too. So if it’s always scripts, but units display fine then thats important to me.
and also please do a test of a search with the current version, and then the same search after loading that test version. In my case searching for anything is so much faster it’s almost funny. The progress bar updates not at all if I search for “write log” and only has a chance to update once if I search for the letter “a” Please also let me know what you notice about that regardless of the crashing status.
