I will do you a special build that no longer does this. I’ve already removed it from the code. Hang on and I’ll post a link.

If you’re running Sierra or High Sierra though it will still wake the screen up once in a while to clear the thread race condition. If you’re running an earlier OS version then it won’t do anything different.
