XTension Release v9.1

As far as I know everything should work. I have not updated anything to any versions that don’t still support that. You’ll see the older toolbars in 10.8 but the functionality should be the same, just not as pretty.

There are sometimes surprises unfortunately. The good news is that this version doesn’t make any database changes that would make it incompatible with previous versions so if there is a problem you can just put back the previous version and be back in business. Any problems that would happen would happen immediately upon launch or when starting up your interfaces and not surface slowly later. You would know immediately if it wasn’t going to work. The problem I had previously was because I included a new date/calendar control that wasn’t supported on 10.7. That caused a crash immediately upon launch and I’ve removed all those nice new controls and gone back to the older versions that are supported everywhere ;) So while I continue to beg people to upgrade to at least 10.9 I am still taking pains to make sure it continues to work as far back as 10.7.5. Eventually something in the basic libraries is going to change and I won’t be able to anymore, but for the moment it really should work all the way back to that.

Again, if you’re going to have problems it will be immediately. The app will refuse to launch, or one of the interfaces will refuse to launch. You’ll know about it right away. If everything starts up and is working then it’s working. There is nothing that will slowly bite you later. It will either work right away, or you can put back the last version.
