Web Remote and video viewing

Hey all,

Had this little issue for while, but haven’t mentioned it here because it hasn't bothered me too much.

I’ve been pretty happy previewing video saved by VideoPitcher and XTension, using the spacebar to preview. Not much work, and as long as QT is cooperating (seems really slow to load and respond under OSX 10.11.6), everything is fine.

However, it’s when I try to use Web Remote’s Archive function is when things get weird. Could be Quicktime, a browser issue, plug-in issue, or something I’ve not thought of yet.


Been trying in Safari (Tech Preview and current release) and in Chrome. Here’s what’s happening to me in the Archive screen:

Safari: everything except the video comes up. In the video window, I get “loading…” in the playback control area.

Chrome: The first thing the Archive screen sees runs perfectly, but the video does not update when clicking "previous/next" buttons. All the other indicators (like under "Time:” do update, so I know it’s working.

I have the latest everything (XTension, VideoPitcher, OSX) running on an older Mac mini (2009), so I am current.


Also, while on the subject, about a week ago I picked up an Amcrest ProHD PTZ cam (IP2M-841B). Anyone use them, and has anyone tried to get them into XTension? I have not as of yet, still trying to get the thing to record something on an SD card, lol.
