Lessons from power glitch and outage

I’m feeling much less alone now! I too value the USB connection because XTension can send me a message to let me know when the power goes out. But not at the cost of destabilizing the whole Mac… Maybe I can plug the UPS into a raspberry pi or something and run apcupsd to track it.
