So you removed all the instances of the turnoff verb, but you still get an error that claims that the turnoff event wasn’t handled? Are we certain the scheduled event is running the script you think it is?

I don’t THINK that can cause any trouble, it should be OK, but once placed into XTension you can remove the on run{} block as it’s not necessary, and all the tell xtension stuff is extra too.”

However, by commenting out those two sets of lines of code, the error message has now changed to a set value error. David will be back by lunch, but has been receiving copies of everyone’s comments, and hasn’t seen this, but has already commented that he likes Phillipp’s idea, and is worth trying.

So now the failure has moved to the next applescript command you’re sending. There is “too much wrong” here.

I am uploading now a build that has significantly more error logging in those methods that will give us a handle on it, if it’s ever falling through to them at all. I’ll send you the link off the list as soon as my hobbled by construction traffic temporary internet cable finishes sending it up.

Thanks,
 James
