Hi James,
I figured it out after reading your reply. I had copied the app from my main machine to my Headless HA machine’s root level, the copied it to my Xtension folder. The app in the Xtension folder acted normally. The one on the roof level was the one that kept wanting o start up. The dialog was the normal ‘the app was down loaded from the internet, do you want to open anyway’ so I deleted that app.

After that it is running as a child of the launchd system in the OS. So there is no regular check back or applescript calls to it or the other hacky things we were doing in the background before. Nothing regularly happens to it except that as a child of the launchd server that will know if the app quits, if it ever quits without a successful termination return code then launchd will restart it before the icon has even full disappeared from the dock.

I did test with the “this app was downloaded do you want to start it” system and that worked fine so what else is happening on your machine? Email me off the list with some more info on just what is happening and what messages or popups are displayed.
