CM11A errors persist, how to troubleshoot?

I got and installed a new Interface with the new Prolific USB-serial cable.
It didn't solve the problem.
What else?
I was at the keyboard to order an XTB-232....
How about the RJ11-RS232 cable?
I swapped in the cable that came with the newly manufactured CM11.
*That was it*.
The CM11 device is no longer giving errors.
The CM11 is not controlling all of the X10 units, but I suspect I have to
hack the place it's plugged in to find a location that can reach both
phases.
It's always something.
BTW, James, I tried using "move all devices to interface" (CM11 to my new
CM11A device) but it didn't do anything.
I moved each device separately.0
