X10 Door/Window Sensors

I have those on all my inside and outside doors. They are easy to set up and I do have them turn on/off lights in the closet. Being that I get easily distracted I have one on my shop door and it tells me that the door is open so that I don’t forget to close and lock it at night.

For the outside doors, if it is dark out, I have them turn on the lights in the house. I have the Kwikset locks do the same thing but it’s nice to have a backup to make sure the lights are on.

The price for these things are a lot cheaper than the Z-wave devices and just as reliable.
