Barix crashes XTension?

I have consistent crashes since yesterday, which seem to have to do with Barix.
The crash occurs when the first Barix measurement comes in. 
XTension is relaunched and crashes immediately after the next Barix interaction.
If I start up with comm of, all is fine. Then uncheck Barix comm in prefs and restart XTension: no problemo.
This is from the crash log, maybe some kind soul could give a hint as to what might be wrong.
I've powercycled the Barix already, with little result.
