Tom, all you need to do is set up the Vera, then install the AD2USB plugin and the vera will auto discover.  I am assuming that you have assigned an key pad address for the  AD2USB in the vista panel.  You need to use that same address in the KeyPadAddresses variables field for the Ademco Vista Partition that will have been created.
