another new build with minor changes:

http://sentman.com/files/ad2usb.isf.zip

install in the normal way into the latest alpha version. There were no changes to XTension proper so this is just the connector for the AD2USB. unzip the file. disable the ad2usb interface in XTension. Control click on XTension in the finder, select show package contents, open the Contents folder and then the Pitchers folder and replace the ad2usb.isf folder with the one in the download. Re-enable AD2USB interface in XTension.

This version has better control of polling for faulted zones. It will not send a poll if the alarm is actually armed. It will also not poll unless it's already received a fault message from something and is waiting to look to see if it stops showing up in order to generate the OFF message.

If things dont go exactly to plan, or you notice further things that need tweaking send me log snippets off the list so we dont generate too much extra traffic over the last few back and forths on this ;) We're making excellent progress for a device that I don't have in front of me!

The system is waiting for a door or window or anything else setup as a perimeter item to get faulted (or a fire item, of course). If they get faulted, then the alarm will be triggered. So, once the system is armed, there should be no need to send a “*” or anything else as far as I can tel. Of course, I am far from an expert on these systems…
