question on Zwave "companion switches" - Intermatic

Ned, if you mean a four way switch, it really isn't too much different 
than a single pole in that up is one side (traveler-switch line a) and 
the alternate is down to switch to the other (traveler-switch line b). 
 From the three way to four way then to three way (at the load) would 
be                        a.  :______ a:X:a______: .a_____ load
You can add any number of four ways in between the three ways to get 
added switching locations.                           ^ 4way
