I'm about to upgrade my Mac Mini server, too.
I installed Mavericks on my other Late 2009 Mac Mini and it went without
a hitch, although it took a while. Let's see Microsoft pull off meeting
the demand with 100s of thousands of customers downloading immediately
after the announcement.
What is there in the server apps that are useful for home use? I have
the Lion server.
I figure that I'd only use something like the caching DNS server and I
can install that myself.
