OK, be careful what you ask for... :)
It's good that you haven't done much yet. There are some things you can do to
ease the pain...
Start up Apple's Script Editor, and choose to Open Dictionary.
Navigate to and choose the XTension app.
This will show the entire dictionary of words and phrases that XTension uses.
( don't forget to do this for "Finder" sometime too...)
The display is built from the current app, so it is always up to date, if the comments
are not somewhat terse sometimes.
I just haven't found a more convenient way of doing this. Script Editor is always there, and I have confidence that there's no version funnies. ( like maybe in a wiki )
There is also a dictionary section on the MacHomeAutomation site, but if I'm on a laptop in southern Italy, I don't want to rely on the internet :)
I do this often... age enhanced functions and all... and it goes with my philosophy of deliberately choosing Not to remember things for which I have a perfectly good 'path' to the data. Just remember the paths...
The goal is simply to browse the verbs and examples, and just get a feel for the 'language' of XTension, before you start expanding your system...
it's a good thing...
