On Stability of XTension

I am running the XTension on a Mac Mini with 10.8.3 on it at my vacation home. I have no internet access there for almost a year and it freezes at least once a day. It is a simple system running a few Z-wave devices with a Z-troller, some X10 devices with a CM15 and an RFX for the weather sensors. No real fancy scripts or anything else.

I have set it to activate an outside script that kills XTension every 4 hours and an outside AS that will kill it once a day in case XTension has stalled and won't restart on it's own.

It seems to be working but getting the scripts back to their correct time has been difficult. I have a modified daylight script that controls all the lights. It changes a property to shorten daylight by 2 hours on both sunrise and sunset. Since I go there to relax I don't spend a lot of time working on the system but I am about ready to get rid of the whole thing. The biggest hinderance is that it makes the place look like it is occupied. Since it is in the middle of nowhere that is important.

One of the things I am wondering is if the system is somehow trying to connect to the internet which Apple is very big on. I just don't know. My sister in laws house burned down 4 miles away and that was my internet connection through some parabolic antennas and some WAP54's. Once her house has been rebuilt I will try setting up the internet again.
